Cederblad 201, also known as vDB 152 is a blue reflection nebula in Cepheus. It lies 1,500 light-years from Earth. The bright blue star in the image is encountering a large dark nebula, known as Lynds Dark Nebula 1217 or Barnard 175. The star is believed to be a wandering star that has encountered the dark dusty nebula by chance and its light is being scattered by its dust making the beautiful blue reflection nebula. The complex is known as Wolf’s Cave Nebula. This is not The Wolf’s Cave Nebula, meaning the cave is where a wolf resides. Rather, it was described by Max Wolf, so it is his nebula. This terminology also distinguishes it from the other Cave Nebula, Sh2-155, also in Cepheus.

Exposures: L:R:G:B = 150:60:60:60 minuts = 5 hours, 50 minutes total exposure, completely unguided.
