Supernova 2025rbs in NGC 7331

The image on the left is a cropped view of NGC 7331 and other distant galaxies in the background, collectively known as the Deer Lick Group, taken in November of 2024. The image on the right was taken in August of 2025 after supernova 2025rbs appeared. It can be seen as a bright star just to the lower right of NGC 7331’s bright core.
