The gray box on the right side of this image is the electronics cabinet of the DomeProU-d system used to control the lower dome shutter. It is made by Astrometrics Instruments for control of the Ash Dome. The wireless antenna receives signals from the main electronics cabinet on the opposite side of the dome. It can be controlled remotely using Maestro4 software. The black vertical cylinder contains the motor that opens and closes the lower shutter via a winch hidden behind the metal panel. This motor can also be operated manually when in the dome using the yellow push buttons on the black panel on the electronics cabinet.
